When you were very young and small - did your grandfolk tell you stories about this place?

Can you remember them and write them down? NOT JUST WAR!!!

The very very old things about herbs and such...

Once upon a time they called them "Simples"
and "Poultices"

The very early beginnings of medicine in America

What the uses of herbs are, and such...

Did anyone ever teach you what the uses of different flowers and plants were?

This is really very important, because it is not only in south America that Unique Plants are found - but very often in the wetlands of North America as well. "BRAZIL" and it's rain forrest is not the only tragedy of the Modern Age...

My grandfather used to tell me that hard work never hurt anyone. I told him that I believed him...but...I wasn't taking any chances!!!

Peppermint oil is great to help alleviate headaches.

Ginger is good for stomach aches and motion sickness.

Rubbing alcohol on mosquito bites or bee stings helps soothe the itch/pain.

Baking soda with a dab of water to make a paste also helps alleviate the pain of insect bites/stings.

Swishing peroxide around in your mouth (DON'T swallow) can get rid of tooth aches. I actually did it and it does work!

I wonder what people did a hundred years ago - right here.

What plants did they use? Right next the river in TN, what did they have?

BESIDES LOTS OF COTTON!!!
