I am in the process of wiring an old truck with :-X22Dura spark ignition module. I am not using the original ignition switch... The question I have after reading about the start and run sides of the ignition module is. When the switch is in the start mode is there power going to the RUN red wire and the START white wire at the same time or do I need a switch that drop out the run terminal while in the start mode? :-X16

The white wire is hot in "START" and the red wire is hot in "RUN".

That's a great question. I have not investigated this myself, but any diagram I have seen shows the START and RUN circuits as being isolated in the switch, as shown below.

I thought I had a spare switch in the shop; but it looks like I must have gotten rid of it. I was going to check for you. If someone else has one, all they would need to do is check which terminals have contunity with the B or BATT terminal(s) when the key is turned to START. I would imagine that only the S terminal(s) are hot at this time; however, if this ends up not being the case, then all the diagrams floating around the internet are wrong.

By the way, welcome to FTE!

Thank you for the welcome fmc400. The information you posted is a great help. Your diagram is much more detailed than the one I have. I am new to this sight. I wish I had more time to spend here. There is a wealth of information and knowledge here.
