Looking for a 1980-1986 Diesel Instrument Cluster w/ Tach

I have a 1984 F250 with a 6.9 diesel. My truck did not come with a tachometer, so I am looking for an instrument cluster (speedo, fuel, oil, volt, etc) with a tach (including the plug-in for the tach which connects to the injection pump). I am hoping someone has a parts truck which they can take this off of. Please contact me if you have one!! Thanks, Jake.

Ya know, I saw one of those clusters in the junkyard the past winter and was thinking of buying it because of how rare they seem to be. But, I didn't, and the truck has been crushed & shredded at this point. :(

What is required for the sensor on a truck without a tach? Do they have a threaded hole already there for the sensor or are you going to have to get the housing also?

I have absolutely no idea..........

From what I can tell, there is already a threaded hole with a plug. I'll try taking the plug out when I have more time and maybe posting some pics.

The housing you need should have a 1'' pipe plug in it. It takes a speed sensor that you can get from ford, or IIRC peterbilt dealers use them for a speedo pickup. If you don't have that plug you need to change the housing out for the correct one. If you want a tach there are a few aftermaket ones IIRC hypermax has one that picks up off the alt.

I also have one (possibly for sale), but as far as I can tell, the tach is electronic like any other factory tach (but with the lower diesel RPM range).

I also though the tach looked like any other ford tach I have seen, so I used jumper wires to connected it to my truck, nothing happened.. the needle did not move???

I just found one I removed a while back. I try and grab the full clusters when I find them.
