Seat belts question and Offroading pix. Weird combo kinda lol

Well, first things first I need to get my passenger seat belt off.....but the bolt was stripped. I tried using an allen and a larger torx key. I also tried to use a dremel an cut a place for a flat head to turn it out and to maybe knock it out. I have also tried to drill it out. None of these things have worked! I need help bad. heres a few pix of what the screw looks like now

Take a small peice of metal rod or something and weld it to the bolt to where it hangs off, then either hit it with a hammer until it frees OR use a hollowed out pole for leverage. Mine did the same thing and i got it out that way. If it doesnt make sense let me know and ill draw a picture lol its hard to explain.

BTW bada$$ truck! But am i goin crazy or is that thing right hand drive??

okguy33 05-13-2011 08:41 PM

Your going crazy Duct tape! Ford Nor Chevy Ever made a right hand drive ANYTHING.. especially a f150 or a Vette.. (sweet rides dude!)

ludacris16444 05-13-2011 09:23 PM

my problem is I don't have a welder nor do I know how to weld. n yea i think at that moment u may have been going a lil crazy. but U can kinda see how you could think that cause my buddy was sitting in the passenger seat. thanks for all compliments on my rides and im glad someone besides me thinks its a bada** truck :)

Can you grind off at least 2 sides opposit each other, so you can get a wrench on it?

ludacris16444 05-13-2011 09:58 PM

i dont think theres enough room to get a grinder in there, its like 2 inches. but i might be able to use a dremel? maybe?

patman247 05-14-2011 12:08 AM

get a big drill bit and drill all the way through till the head is no longer attached to the shaft then use a broken screw extractor

Go under the truck and find the other end of the bolt(if its the floor bolts, can't tell in your photos), make sure its not full of rust or other crap. If possable wire brush the threads off and use PB blaster or equ and let it soak in. The next thing you can do is get a cold chisel and start hammering in the direction to loosen it. That's what I had to do on a few seat belt bolts. Afterwards as long as the nut is not munged up, USE Anti-lock paste with new bolt.
