Mud Flaps

I know there are a few threads discussing mud flaps, but I've only seen a handful of flaps mentioned in them. I've always used the Ford formed flaps, but wondered what you installed or had installed?

Thanks

Put Huskeys on mine took less than an hour....

I tried the weathertech today, but I think I got the wrong ones. I ordered them for my SRW and I specified "with fender flares" and there is a gap. I am going to call them tomorrow. I liked them because they are No drill and use existing holes.

Go for the no drill and plastic bolts oif you can get them. My 2005 uses metal self tapping hardware and i am geting rust at the bottom corner holes. If you use the stock ones, with plastic hardware then you dont get this problem. If you are mounting with metal eventually you get the rust climate depending.....

I went with the 23" Luverne solid rubber with the bling on the bottom, for the front and rear of my DRW. :-wink

I saw trucks with the plastic formed ones. Just weren't manly enough for my truck. I went with DuraFlaps. Big truck quality. Stainless steel hardware and you can have inserts installed in the flaps as well.

I know a lot of folks are custom people here, but....are the ford ones any good?

dschuffert 05-01-2011 07:48 PM

I have never tried the Ford brand. I put the WeatherTech on. They look good, install easy using factory holes, and only took about 5 minutes a wheel.

No drill Duraflaps here.

I don't know since I've never had the Ford built flaps.
I simply liked the Duraflaps and the brand has been discussed here quite a bit.

Item # FF 2 11 and #FR 2X 11.
$170.00 to my door.
I didn't get the chrome weights.
Truck has too much chrome already.
