What tires and wheels fit and what ones hit
Guys, I have ordered my new 2011 F350 and hope to be picking it up soon. The truck is slated for a 2 1/2" leveling kit. I am currently shopping for tires and wheels.
I am looking to provide a thread where others can look to for future fitment of tires and wheels on their new 2011 and newer trucks. Would those of you lucky ones be able to provide a picture or two and a quick description of the tire size, wheel size, lift or level height, etc? I hope to add my pictures soon. Todster |

Cooper STTs, 35x12.50x20, load range E, on stock rims.
2 1/2" level kit in front, 1" add a leaf in rear. |
2 inch front level with Toyo 315/60/20's on stock 20 inch rims. These are slightly narrower than 325's or the 12.50's. In my case there is plenty of up/down clearance but they contact the control arms ever so slightly. I would think that anything wider than 315's would rub noticeably when turning at full lock.

Sticking with these tires for now due to the cost of replacing them. 285/65/20 BFG A/T KO on stock wheels with 2" front leveling kit. Has anyone put A/T tires and a leveling kit on stock 18" wheels? Pics? Just wondering if it looks bad...I am currently regretting not seeking a truck with 20" wheels.
Hoping that it doesn't look bad to save myself the money from "having" to buy 20" wheels, ha. |
Very nice trucks. All of them. Thanks for helping out all of us looking to take the next step in customizing our new toys.
Keep them coming. |
Here is mine with the new wheels on it:

I think it might just be that those wheels don't look good on a white truck. Definitely need more offset to make those agressive fender flares work.
I did some Photoshop mock-ups on a black truck and it looks decent. Here is the original photo with a 6" lift and aftermarket wheels: http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/9...06500bef80.jpg And here is the same truck with the stock wheels (spacers would be required to get the offset efffect OR don't use fender flares and then no need for spacers): http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/3...6500bef80m.jpg And then the above pic lowered to roughly stock height: http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/5...6500bef80z.jpg Opinions? They really aren't too bad on a black truck....they look a little small with a 6" lift though. My truck is silver which may be a bit to close to the white. So hard to tell with the continentals on there (my truck that is).
