1997 F250 transmission problems

transmission take a long time to go to second gear than it kicks hard and the other gears go down and up all crazy could someone help with any suggestions. :-huh

Fix the speedometer and then the trans will be fine. Most likely it's the speed sensor on top of the differential on the rear axle.

Mark you hit it right on it was the speed sensor now it's working just fine.
