Help!

Ok I was driving today like normal with my truck and suddenly on the motorway i taped the breaks to switch off cruise control and my truck is now making a very bad screeching/squeeking noise!! don't know what it could be or what to do to fix and im concerned about driving it more for the issue could be getting worse with it!!! any suggestions of how to fix? it only happens when the truck is moving forward, not sure about reverse tho...

Could be a small rock caught between the rotor and rotor dust shield but I would have thought a good bet would be worn brake pads.
Could also be a bad wheel bearing.
If the noise is coming from the back then it could be worn brake shoes or broken shoe hardware.
Try to find out what corner the noise is coming from and pull the wheel and have a look.

well I did just that and my worst tfears came true (thankfully i did it at pepboys) and as we pulled the drums off both rear breaks completely disentagrated in front of us :( thankfully i was in a parking lot...coulda been worse if i was on one of the local autopistas doing 100Km/h (60MP/h) like usuall...yeesh.....
