Is there still backlogged F150's out there?

It is coming on to 16 weeks since I ordered and 10 weeks since being built. Are there still others in the same boat?

Yup. I haven't even heard if Ford accepted my order.

Same here. Placed order 3/11. Dealer says Ford aceepted and acknowledged the order on 3/14. As of now still no VIN or build date given. Dealer has been bugging the crap out of the regional rep. Was orignally told Black and Candy red's were priority due to Japan, latest I heard was on 4/12. Here's what the rep told the dealer.
"It will be pulled for scheduling this week. Once it has a VIN a real ETA will be provided, but until then my rough estimate is June."

But still as of today I have no further info from anyone.

The truck is a SCAB 4X4 eco with 8'bed in white.

I hate that for you guys... I had ordered one for my wife and it came in this week. It was week 11 for us. To top it all, the day after I ordered it, I had my dealer change the engine to the ecoboost... Well, it didn't take. My truck came in with the 5.0L. I'd have re-ordered, but my wife wasn't having that. Good luck!

I ordered 3/19, and the railcar arrived here on Monday, just waiting for it to make it off the train!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully this week

I'd be awefully upset if i had ordered months ago and all these recent orders are coming out first, Ford should be discounting or something for the screw up.

Unfortunately, Ford also relies on parts from Japan and production is cut back. The Superduty/ Expy/Navagator plant here is town is having weekly shutdowns.

Another sad reality is that the Tundra is more American made than the F150.

not sure why some take so long, mine was ordered march 17 and arrived at dealership april 13. I was expecting longer but was pleasantly surprised!

There's a major shortage of rail cars designed to carry these vehicles.

Great. I'm still wondering if Ford has accepted the order, let alone bucked the order or built the order.

Ordered March 11th, the same day as Japan's quake.

Really? I see hundreds of them every day coming in with other Ford products and leaving town with locally built with the Superduty and such. Where did they all go? They have been hauling new trucks forever with trains.

I think the F150 production out of Dearborn is where the big bottlekneck is.

I ordered an EcoBoost on Jan. 15th. Built Feb. 8th. Has yet to arrive at dealer in Portland, OR. Ford customer service now gives me an ETA at dealer on Apr. 28th. If it doesn't arrive on that date, I will cancel the order and wait for the 2012 model year.

Muskegdon 04-29-2011 05:14 PM

The backlog must be over. My son has been keeping an eye out for my truck and he announced it got delivered to the dealer today. Almost 18 weeks after ordering..I'll pick it up next friday.

freeonboard 04-29-2011 09:42 PM

Mine arrived at the dealer yesterday (04/28/11). Picked it up today and drove approx. 210 highway miles. Got an astonishing 21.8 mpg.

I ordered my platinum screw EB on 09 Feb, it was built on 09 March and supposedly mine is on the way. I had an ETA of 28 March. :-)

Hopefully here soon.
