Fuel pump issues
 

I have a 1992 F-150, with duel tanks. I have never had any fuel problems. I drove to the job on Saturday, went to move truck 20 minutes later, and it would not start. I have good spark. I changed fuel filter. When turning on key, the fuel pump kicks on for about 1 second. I checked the other tank, and it does the same. I removed the fuel filter, then turned on the key, and it barely has any fuel coming through the line. Please help. The odds of both pumps going at the same time has to be nill. I am out of ideas. I also checked the relay. I checked the reset inside the kick plate, and i assume that it was not tripped, as I could not push it in. HELP!!

Sounds like you are out of fuel in both tanks.
OR someone has squeezed the fuel line closed after the "T" on the frame and before the fuel filter.

Have fuel. Where would this T be located? Near the rear of the front tank?? Also why would this be a problem, when it seemed to be running fine before. Did not hit anything, only been on paved roads.

Both fuel tanks pump in to this "T" on the frame near the front tank and there is not anything from the "T" to the injector filter except a tube of about 2 ft or less long.

Thanks, I will give that a good checking. It looks like a compression fitting, am I correct in assuming that? And do I need any special tools to take this apart?

Should I just tap on it, and see if I can dislodge anything in there?

No, I would disconnect the supply fuel line from one of the tanks and turn the key on and off one time and see if you get any fuel out of the pump.
I do not think any tapping would do you any good.
You will need a short hose and a container for the fuel to run into.
Stick the hose on the tube coming out of the pump.
If you do not get any fuel then and you hear the pump run you will need a new fuel pump.
I have never heard of your problem before and it does not seem possible.
