In the electrical section of your Haynes manual there is a complete diagram of the wiring harness, including the fuse box connections.

thought someone on here might have a image to send me. |
how can you work on your truck without one? I would be lost without my dogged-eared, grease-stained Haynes manual.

Yeah, step one of owning one of these trucks is to buy yourself a Haynes and Chiltons manual. Between the two pretty much everything is covered.
That said, I have a 79 F100 2wd with a single tank. When I get home I'll try to snap a good pic of the fuse box and post it up for you. My lettering is still somewhat readable. I was actually contemplating replacing the box so I can use modern blade type fuses, but decided not to since the box I have works. |

This is a great thing to own as well, has everything u need at a great price with great detail and parts listings. I got mine a couple weeks ago and love it.
Hope this helps, Jim Lee FORD 1978 Bronco & F100 thru F350 Truck Shop Manual CD | eBay |
thanks for the help but since i've owned a few vehicles in the past few
years, buying a haynes manual everytime would be kinda high. also, the repairs and upgrades i do are usually universal. might get one since i do like this f100! |

Not as far as I know or have ever seen.

Same here. Under-hood fuse and relay boxes are a more modern touch. Slightly at least. I think the '80's ushered in that era for Ford trucks at least. Before that they were always under the dash.
And there were two sizes of fuse panel too. '73 through some time in '75 they still used the old small 5 or 6 fuse(?) version, but about that time between '75 and '76 they went to the 10-fuse(?) panels. My Hayne's book shows they '75 having the old panel, but a member here posted up a pic of his '75's panel and it was the larger new style. Paul |
Cant remember if this is for a 76 or 79 but should be close to the same
