Continental tires and air pressure

Well I have the street Continental tires on my 2x4 long bed SuperCab.
My first 400 miles at highway speed the steering was touchy and would more right or left easily if I hit any bump in the road.
I checked my air and all were set to 8- psi that was factory pressure.
I lowered them to 60 psi front and 70 psi rear as per the door sticker.
The ride is better but it just doesn't feel as positive steering as in my 2003 PowerStroke Diesel. Maybe it is me and the lighter front end.

My question to you is.
1. Have you noticed the same light front end?

2. What tire pressure do you run with Continentals? Front psi and Rear psi?

I'm considering lowering the psi when driving unloaded.
Someone suggested 40 psi all around.

I'm running the recommended 65psi in all 4 right now. I can't go below 60 or the TPMS goes off. The ride is a tad harsh over rough pavement but not enough for me to change it. Helps with the mileage too.

Your a 4x4 and different tires. I have street Continentals.
That is the difference between our trucks.
I thought the book says the tire pressure needs to drop 25% before any warning goes off
