slave cylinder line removal tool
what tool do i need to remove the line from the clutch slave cylinder when i drop the tranny on my truck? im doing my clutch this weekend. its like the fuel filter fitting, right?

All you need is two flat blade screwdrivers and an extra
set of hands. With the release tool or two flat blade screwdrivers, press inward on the plastic bushing that surrounds the plastic hydraulic line until it bottoms out. When you press on the plastic bushing, it spreads some metal springy fingers outward which allows the removal of the plastic hydraulic line. Here the release tool made by KD tools. You could easily make your own. Some clutch kits include the tool. Attachment 230015 |
I just used an open end wrench to pop mine. I don't recall the size at the moment.
