We had a fleet of 6.6's back in 89. The primer pump if I remember is on the right side of the block mounted on the transfer pump. It has an obvious knob on it that you unscrew to allow it to pop up. Ours had Allison AT 545 transmissions. These engines were solid with the only issue being the head gasket would leak coolant after a few years.
