Super cab rear seat

I have a 78 super cab and it has the jump seats, i want a bench seat is there any newer stlye bench seats like in a superduty or something that will work?

I have a bench seat out of a 78, it needs to be recovered, all the parts are there.

You know I had the same thought. It should-I thought about swapping the front and rear seats out of a super duty super cab. I think it will fit other than fabbing new mounts. Good thing is then you get the head rests etc that are safer. Also seat belts may need to be changed out also. Good luck

I asked the same exact question about 3 days ago.
I didn't get much of a response either...
From the looks of it, '96-down may fit, if yo do this, please post pictures how everything mounts and such.
Take good measurements. I've been comparing them at the local junkyards, and they look very similar if not the same up to the '90s.
I couldn't tell ya about a Super-Duty, that may take some modifications, but anything is possible.

These are out of a '94 Ford F-250 extended cab. The back seat bolted right up. The bolster above the rear bench is nice to have. You will need to remove the trim and drill holes in the cab to mount it. The front seats needed some work. Try to get the one-piece frame for the front rather than the 3-piece frame. It was much easier to install.

The backseat bolts up to factory holes. The front seat will need new holes and reinforcement of said holes.

I don't remember saying that it was for sale. I purchased this set for $40.00 on sale at a tear-a-part JY.

Greyman had the seat he appeared to be offering for sale.

I have one that is in good shape if anyone would be interested. It is red, original in a 78. hate to destroy it if there is want for it.

pidaster 04-02-2011 08:53 AM

I may be in need of one but I won't know until I pick up the truck next week.
