45 gallon steel gas tank

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on the 45 gallon steel tank that JBG has.

Ford Bronco 45 Gallon Steel Gas Tank

It says that it onlyfits up to 89. I was wondering if it would fit on my 95 351w. I don't know of any significant changes to teh Bronco those years as it say it will fit both carbed and FI setups. Maybe they went to a return set-up in 90?:-huh If anyone knows if this will fit and/or has any good/bad things to say about this tank, I'm all ears. Thanks

The only change, and i'm not completely sure, was on the fuel pump, can someone confirm this?.

The difference IS related to the fuel pump setup. Ford went to the single high-pressure pump in the tank in 1990 and when that happened the locking collar and hole that the pump/float assembly goes into changed diameter. That is why it is only listed to fit through 1989.

I bought a 40 gal tank for my old 88'. I took all good parts off that truck and transferd them to my 90'. (including the tank.) I just put a high pressure pump on the frame rail like the 88. I like it there better anyways. If you really want some range, check out the 50 gal aux tank in my gallery.
