Need help ID ing rear axle
 

This axle is in my 1994 F-700.
What the heck is this rear axle I though it would be simple but no so.
First the door tag is blank where the rear axle code should be. it does say its has a 22,700 lb rating
It is a Eaton rear end in my truck. It looks to be the factory axle Here is all the info off the rear end. Stamped into a stainless tag on the housing:
PT No 303126 HSG model 22A ser No G-2247055
Stenciled into the center casting: 88516 G1973 5*29
Casting numbers found are (Bottom flange 67802) (verticle TD22) and (top upside down 3441106) are on the center casting.

I lknow it has 5.29 gears in it. I am looking for some 3.90 gears or a center section with 3.90 gears.


Any one have an idea??

After spending a few hours of online searching
I found it.
Its a 22 series (99% sure its a #22121)

just I'd tell how it turned out in case some searched it out.
I found a New 3.70 "take-out" gear set in portland or. for $250 +38 to ship to Ohio
MUCH better than what I had expected.
And I found out almost exactly what I have a 22 series axle housing (22K lb axle rating)and axle shafts. and a 17 or 18 series 2 speed gear set in a single speed housing??!?
I may have to buy a bolt kit or a carrier, but will only know when its apart.

well to tell the rest of the story:
The gear swap was completed a few weeks ago and as of last week I now have the new low profile tires installed.
I foud out I had a 22 series axle housing, hubs, axle shafts and
A 17,18,19 series carrier , pumpkin, and gears.
I bought the 3.70 ratio gear set and needed carrier from anderson bros in portland.
I had to get a yoke locally as mine had what someone called a wing style yoke on it.
the 3.70 gears had larger spline dia than the old 5.29 gears did.
The new stup is 3.70 gear and 36.5 inch tall tire. it really works well.

How much did gear swap cost in total? I have a 2 speed rear and it has 4.56/ 6.34 and that's the tallest they offer on that eton link there.

Mine was right at $500 because I paid a friend of mine to set it up and install the chunk. (I don't have a garage)
I lucked out on the gears finding a good set for $250. but the internet is how I found them.
I also bought a Eaton part book off ebaay for $8 dollars. it had some part numbers in it that were not on the site.
Some one must have burned up the stock 4.88 rear in my truck. because everything i've been told and seen says the axle is from the early 1970s. it still has the larger later model brakes(anti lock sensors still attacked) but the the 5.29 gears and center housing came up 70s every where I looked.
The one place that has a lot of older eaton parts is anderson brothers in portland.
