1999 Powerstroke fuel filter
 

I own a 99, 7.3 powerstroke, 350, crewcab, with 2WD. Having problems with fuel filters. Installed new WIX filter in Dec. 2009. Filter blew out of canister in May 2010. Replaced with another WIX filter in May 2010, it blew out 5 minutes later. Each time the filter was properly tightened. I had the truck towed truck to Ford Dealer and they tightened the filter and said it was fine, just not properly tightened. I asked them to drive it around the block and it they came back with no fuel leaking I would be satisfied. Filter blew out within first mile. They said the WIX filter would not work on the ford diesel and they replaced with a Ford Filter. All went well until today, the ford filter blew out and I lost a quarter of a tank of fuel trying to make it 3 miles to the house. Has anyone had a problem with the filter and can they give me some guidance? Thanks
