I put the IQ to stock and then unplugged from the OBDII port. I left everything else installed.

That was what I was planning on doing as well. No need for them to be under the hood for this one.

Agreed. It was a very quick process. They just hooked up and the job was completed in about 20min. They never opened my hood. Once I got home, I reconnected the OBDII for the IQ and everything seems good so far. I am still running stock right now until the tranny re-learns and then I will go back to setting 3. I might do that on the way home today.

I called my dealer to schedule an appointment for the PCM flash (11b23) and they were very concerned because the expiration date for the bulletin is Thursday, the 31st. Wow, I sure am confident of this place!

Well, just left my dealer and they recommended not to do it yet. Service advisor said there have been complaints of poor fuel mileage. (like it's not bad enough already).
And some tech's claim they've let the smoke out of the pcm.

Took mine in today and it was done in less than 20 min. My Tech guys said that I would notice some power gain. Drove truck around about 20 miles mostly on 55-60 mph roads. What I noticed was that the boost didn't seem as high and I went from 12.8 on LOM to 15.9. I will e driving truck more this week so will fill up and start from fresh tank. It seemed like I had a little more punch also, but I usually keep the boost below 20 when driving. Might add that my hand calcs and LOM are within .5 mpg of each other.

My appointment is tomorrow and the service adviser told me it will take 1hr-1 1/2hrs for the job. WTH they going to put a new motor in or what? LOL I hope it only takes 20 mins.

I had mine done last week, and the lie-o-meter on my truck has shown a 2-3 mpg increase. I'm not claiming it's accurate (although my hand calculations show it fairly close) just stating that all things being equal, and with no driving style changes, the LOM went from hovering around 14 mixed driving to about 17. driven a few hundred miles since then, and it does seem smoother and peppier. may be power of suggestion, but it does seem to have a little more pep. I haven't hand calculated the last two tanks of fuel, since the pumps cut me off at 75 bucks, and I've been in too much of a hurry to re-run the card and top off. Not expecting any significant increase, but anything no matter how marginal would be more than welcomed. Gotta save some duckets for the spartan or black maxx and dpf/doc delete.

Recall????

Called to have an appointment on Friday, dealer called Thursday and said Ford told them to cancel appointment for two weeks. They were having issues with the recall! Has anyone had this happen!?!?!!?

My dealer wouldn't do mine yesterday, said he'd been reading bad stuff on the dealer message board.

I know someone here has access to the IDS system... could you check the strategy codes for the engine/tranny for this update.. it appears the install didn't take on my truck, cause my strategy codes didn't change.
