No problem either! Go Amish!

CParnell 03-07-2011 11:43 AM

Wow, that didn't look hard for them at all.

OrangeJuice 03-07-2011 11:46 AM

That's what surprised me, and the fact that is was a semi! I was thinking it was going to be one of those step vans or something similar.

Each of those animals probably weighs close to 1000 lbs, so 16 feet x 1000 = 16,000 Ftlbs. Try that with your diesel!

Easily MORE than that, probably closer to to 1600-1800 lbs. Our QH weighs just over 1000, and he's only 14.2 hands.

Never understood the "hands" thing. "Feet" seems much easier.

Both are better than "noses" I suppose. :-X24

I agree, I think it originated from using your palms to measure. The average palm I guess was 4 inches? I dunno...haha.

fz1dave 03-09-2011 01:00 PM

Yeah 4 inches.

Reminds me of the rule of thumb. You could beat your wife with a stick as long as it wasn't thicker than your thumb. What ever happened to that! http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...f?t=1299690410

Whoever came up with that rule, either didn't know that it hurts worse....or he DID know...}>
