installing steps on my 89 f 350

I have the old style running boards on the truck, and have never been able to use them properly, because they are too close to the rocker panel

The truck sits high enough to where something needs to be there.

I already have a bully step on my 94.

but I really like the looks of the tube step on the superdutys. I finally found a set,
from truck champ.com, so I bought them. they went on the truck so fast, I hardly had time to take the pictures.

The only tools required were:
1. razor knife for opening the box
2. 2 5/8 wrenches
3. 2 3/4 wrenches
it's going to take me longer to remove the running board tomorrow
on the passenger side,
than it takes to install the pipe step. great product.

Was going to paint the 94 1st, but I think it'll end up being this one. the grey and white is kinda growing on me. might have to re-think my colors, even though I already bought the paint.

looks good Charlie
the steps that is
your paint job needs some work like mine }>
mine looks like a bruise-black and blue-
well some gray and rust in there to }>

dustybumpers 03-05-2011 06:24 AM

the truck is shadow blue.the doors and fenders are grey and white, stone guard is grey. hood is white for now, but I have a red one with no rust in it. bought the paint for the truck quite a while ago, but never got around to painting it because I thought it needed a motor. silly me.
