97 f250 4x4 heavy duty
i just bought a 97 f250 ex cab long box 4x4 heavy duty with the 7.5l does it have air bags? drivers or passanger side? i have my little girl and would like to know if i have to put her in the back! if it does can you shut them off? also the horn doesnt work, can i pull the steering wheel cover off? or is there an air bag in there?

driver side air bag only and the air bag is under the wheel cover but you can still pull it off

i dont have airbags.. not that i know of. hmmmmm

NO. NO AIR BAGS. F250 and larger did not get air bags till 99

well i didnt think there was one on the passenger side but thanks topdogcustoms, there is one on the steering wheel. there is a airdag indicator light on the dash, so now i know where it is!

i have the same airbag guy on the clustere. but im pretty sure i dont have airbags.

MY 97 250, and my 95 350, both have the air bag light, but no air bags the light never comes on.

The airbag steering wheel looks pretty different from the non airbag wheel with a larger squarer center pad. My 94 and 95 F150s had the driver's side airbag, my nephew's 97 F250 HD (old style) and 92 F150 had the same non airbag steering wheel. Passenger side airbags were only offered on the newer body styles. Do be careful about using the back seat with kids and the back glass. My Grandson loves the fact that he can ride in the front of my truck.
Please be careful and follow all safety instructions before removing the airbag pad. regards rikard |
Thanks for the info guys! ya i think it is the small square steering wheel, i'll see later when i go out. any info on pulling out the radio? i want to install my kenwood deck. is there a trick on getting it out?

ya its just an am/fm radio, just a little different than the on in your pic, thanks the info is good.
nice truck you have, mine is whits too but an ex cab. what lift did you put in it and what tires you running? i want the same look! |
