photo/attachment upload

I've read all the instructions,re-sized my JPG photos,(can't find a URL# anywhere), and I still get a failed notice. Frustration level is HIGH! I'm going to test if the HAMB site will upload the same pics. I'll let you know.

Yep Guess it's not me. Body is painted and mounted and wanted to start a build thread to show what works and doesn't for anybody interested. Guess I'll have to use the gallery method. Rats.

So as a supporter, no url is required, after you resize with a program like PIXresizer (free download) and save the new picture to my pictures (new name) and then in “Advanced” reply or “new thread” go to “attach files” and click “manage attachments” find your picture, upload and it should be on your message but will not show, it will only show up on “preview post”.
Clear as mud?

I'm not quite sure I follow that last part..
it will show in the 'list' of attachments while you are in the editor, and will show the TOTAL proposed post in the 'preview'..
and of course in the forum topic after you press Save

Sam

you either upload from

YOUR computer (top section)
or
some OTHER computer on the internet (url section)

It looks to me like it depends what server you link up to, whether or not you get the upload failure. Seems like Western states have more problems?

Mods?? It's been two weeks or more, what's up?? Is there a limit to how many MB of attachments a member can have?

BACAGrizz 02-22-2011 06:39 PM

I have had failures with IE8 and Safari 5.0.3 on Windows 7 and Windows XP Professional.

I hope they get it fixed soon. I have update photos to post.

I just had an overly simplistic "fighter pilot" question pop into my head..if the site can evaluate my pic and turn it down for size, why can't it simply re-size the pic to what's needed? I'm going to work on the re-size download that was suggested.

BACAGrizz 02-22-2011 07:10 PM

The latest photo to fail was only 263kb.

Weird.

I still can't get any pic to upload, and that's using firefox and google chrome.

I can, however attach image by using the image window on the go advanced part of post reply.
