Good Morning,

We have had a lot of request to join as you can see, but it seems to take a while for them to come around and say hi. As a new memember, should I have placed a link to your welcome thread in you visitor message?

Post a link Pat. I didn't know about mine for quite a while. But that doesn't prove anything at all.

Well I say go for it,,,,, it would just make it easer, right ?

Did you get your Visitor message? I only ask so that I know this is where I put the link, or would a PM be a better choice?

Do you mean the message you get when you enroll? I got some kind of message. I'll check to see if it's still there.

I received one from George GLGRUF when I enrolled to welcome the new Chapter Leader, You. That was it I think.

I think there are different people that join for different reasons. Some people just want to know what that clunking noise is in their truck. And that's about it. I really enjoy this forum, and getting to know all of you. I think the 'getting around to say hi' is based on what the person is looking for here. If they never say hi, or participate really, then they're just here for info, and that's cool. The rest of us just sit around the bon fire with a beer in our hand.

Oh I hear ya I dont think its meant to *make* people talk but rather let them know where to go if they want to join in on the talking.

No, it is not to make them talk, but I dont think some even come back to visit after they have joined, Others are jumpin gin threads and having a good time before they even have a memebership request. Just a way of saying hey, we know you are out there..

My numbers indicated that 1 in 20 stayed around.
And of those, they only stayed around for a short period of time.

Quite unfortunate.

Well to be honest, I didn't know there was a Michigan section until you PM'd me. So it's a good thing for sure.
