Bought a new truck

Well new to me. Sold my 01 V10 and got an 04 6.0L Lariat. Got a great price on it and couldn't pass it up. I've had it for about three weeks now. I was going to leave it alone, but slowly started to mod it out as well. Nothing extreme. Started by putting on some new wheels changed the tails and headlights and added my toolbox. Then did the 4" exhaust which sounds and lood great. That pipe is huge. Not too obnoxious though, barely noticable difference which is what I was going for. Called up Mike at 5star and got tunes for it on my SCT X3 I was using for the V10. Very noticable difference. Then yesterday I trimmed up my new 05+ grill and put it on. Looks pretty good. A lot nicer truck then the 01.

Not much else for now. I added a switch for the high idle mod and cut the header panel for the air filter (called the zoodad mod on here, I've been doing that for a while on all my trucks) and I think I'm going to install remote start on it. The local place wants $450 installed. I think I can handle it myself and get the same kit for $150-250.

Here's another pic in the light:

I lied, bought a double steering stabilizer for it yesterday. Hopefully that helps the drive. It kind of wanders all over on bumpy roads now.

Took it out for its first pulling job last night. Had a friend who had a broken down car 30 miles out, so we went and got it last night. Man this thing is a pulling machine. Drove over a pretty steep pass at 70 and it didn't even break a sweat and then going down the other side it held it with the torque converter the whole way down. I love this truck.:-X04

Installed the double steering stabilizer on Friday night and drove over to Pocatello on Saturday. Drove a little better with less front in wandering all over, but still some.

Got my remote start last week too and installed it this morning in a couple hours before work today. Now I know what to do I could probably do it in less than two or three hours. There was a little learning curve, but it is pretty simple. There are a lot of wires, but you don't use half of them, so after I finally figured out what I did and didn't need it all went together pretty quick. Its nice to have and works great.
