Mercon V in 4R100?
 

Getting conflicting information about what to use in my 99 F250 LD 4R100. The dipstick says Mercon and I'm being told Mercon V is now acceptable to use according to a Ford TSB?

All I want to know if it's ok to drop the pan, change the filter and replace the lost fluid with the new Mercon V? While leaving the old fluid in the cooler lines? I'll drain the TC too. Or should I just stick with the Dexron III/Mercon blend?
