Coil Packs for Escape
 

Are there some places better than others to buy these from? I have heard that there are possibly some places you should steer clear from.

I bought 1 from Napa over a year ago.1 from Advance auto.Heard awile ago people say for price check e-bay

They ebay ones 6=$110 are junk. Buy from a known source. There are knock offs that dont hold up.

In your case beg the dealer for a discount (it does work) and you should get them under $100 each from Ford. Ford has upgraded their vendor due to numerous problems on early Escapes.

Getting to the back ones requires the intake manifold has to come off. Make sure u replace the orings on the manifold.
