Cross Country Part Haul

I will be heading to Mi from Ca on Jan 31st. I know this is last minute but I will be driving my SD and hauling my 20ft enclosed car hauler. I am taking the I-80 for the majority of the trip....If you are looking for parts along that route, let me know and I we can see if I can pick them up for you...save you shipping and get some parts from the dry side of the country!

Can you bring back some warmer weather to Michigan, right now it is 7* with a windchill of minus 11*.

Thanks for the offer, very nice of you. :-X22

I think some California will get caught up in the trailer when I close it...you can have it when I get there, so bring a vacuum to collect it all.

I have been reading alot about problems in cold weather, but havent seen much reference to actual temps this happens at. Do we have to deal with that in Mi, at our relatively mild cold temps? If so what do I need to do? check out my battery output, change to a thinner oil (any recommendations), and look at my glowplug output? Let me know because the pieces of this puzzle together are tough.

Things we run into here is Glow plugs, Glow plug Relays, which you may not have being a calif truck, and loose battery connections. These are the things that kill us the most,

Then we have the Fuel Jell, I dont believe this to be an issue this late in the season. They way I understand it, the whole country gets switched to winter diesel. In the fall though, there may be residule summer blend int he tanks, this will jell in 20 and below temps. Diesel 911 is some good stuff to keep in the truck.

Hope that helps..
