Bushings
I want to replace ALL of the bushings under my 77 f-250 ranger. Does anyone have a list of all the bushings? I know some of them but don't know all of them and their names so that i can order them. I would like to find a place that has an entire package deal on them or something.

it depends on if its 2 or 4 wheel drive....

Sorry I don't have a list. Grab an LMC or NPD catalog (or download their on-line catalogs) and refer to their drawings to learn what and where bushings are installed. Use that info to compare with your rig when you slide under it to do a visual assessment.
I don't recall anyone offering a "master kit" since are typically associated with a system -front suspension, rear suspension, steering, body mounts- and more often than not sold according to that system. If you're gonna go whole hog, some companies offer discounts by how much $$ you'll be spending on a single purchase order... ya might be able to combine other small items (not bushing related) so that it boosts the total order price. |

ok heres a compiled list out of sections of a haynes manual...lmc is gonna be your friend...may need to dig up a few odd bushings form napa or jc whitney or some place....
2-core support mounts upper and lower 2-front cab mounts upper and lower 2 rear cab mounts upper and lower 4 sets of leaf spring bushings front (availible as a kit) 2 motor mounts transmission mount 4 transfer case support mounts t-case support rod bushings (may need to adapt shock mount bushing) 4 sets of rear axle spring bushing (kit availible) shock mount bushings upper and lower front axle upper shackle mount bushings...(not sure if replaceable as mount is riveted to frame) rear shackle hanger bushings (may need press to install reomgve) sway bar frame bushing front and rear (if you have them) sway bar end link bushings (again if you have them) steering stabilizer bushings (if you have, should be shock bushings) i think that covers every thing from the frame down... |
Awesome, thank you. What is a "c-bushing kit"? I see them listed at Bronco Graveyard.
|
c-bushings are used on the 1/2 ton 4X4 and broncos (even the early ones)....its used to degree the front axle for driveline angle and insulate it from clamp mounts around it...your truck doesn't use them, so no worries...

That set is for a coil sprung 1/2 ton, you need one for a leaf sprung F 250
|
thats great if its a 150 but if it is a 250 you are still missing half your bushings
