Have you noticed????

Even for the short time I have been on this forum I have noticed a marked increase in newbies joining the forum and people who have left and came back. I think this is terrific news and helps grow our love for these old trucks. :-X22

I`ve noticed this too and it certainly is good news. :)

As a new newb I have to say I have never felt more welcome or encouraged to post, comment, and ask questions on any forum I have ever been a part of. I have owned Early Broncos, Early Mustangs, Lincoln Continental lead sleds, etc. and even in these High traffic forms the help was slim and the snarky comments were high. It's guys like you Jim make this site great and encourage the newly addicted to get involved and speak up. Thanks!

Jake

I'm also kinda a newb to forums, but a long time Ford fan. I hear that there are "other makes" of trucks out there.....but I rarely see 'em. lol I also belong to several other Ford forums, but this is by far the best of them all. Good and easy to use format, friendly people and eveyone is very helpful. FTE forever.

I see you come from the Santa Cruz Mtns. I've heard they have herbs growing up there that could take care of that.:-innocent

Ahh, yes, harvest time in the picturesque, pastoral mountain setting evokes memories of a bygone era.Complete with trip-wires, booby-traps,guns,and prowling DEA agents.I haven't partaken of the herb in 30 years, but it is prevalent. there are many medical cannabis dispensaries in my county, and a prized possession indeed is one's medical pot card.I've said it before, but how can so many kids, who've never even had a job, have such terribly bad backs?

The real question there (and I feel like I have earned the right to say this because I have to deal with their problems after they go to jail or lose their license) is why are so many doctors so spineless or so greedy that they won't stand up to these young people who have no real problem and say no. One of the favorite parts of my day sometimes is catching some idiot trying to fool me.

Back to the topic, I agree it's very encouraging to see new people almost daily. It's a very welcoming place.

Doc,the doctors here advertise in the papers for medical cannabis referrals.A 15 minute consultation/evaluation for the price of a 150.00 office call, you can get your card. The sheriff won't hassle you if you're growing less than a dozen plants.Meth is the far greater problem.Go to the San Francisco Craigslist.Type in prop 215.You'll get hundreds of dealers who legally sell,if you've got the card. Many even offer delivery service.Sorry about the thread-jack.

WhooHooo More newbies means more old iron being saved!

bobbytnm 01-07-2011 05:17 PM

This is definatley one of the friendliest forums out there.

I remember back when I was a newbie, this great bunch welcomed me right and in made me feel comfortable. I was never worried about asking "the same old questions that have been asked over and over again".

Lots of good friends here
Bobby

ibuzzard'

You've got to stop changine avatars. I saw doc quoting you and saw "ibuzzard" and was wondering where the heck he pulled that from until I went back and saw your avatar was different, again. I guess I don't really look at name but notice the avatar. The first time I noticed you avatar was the one that was pretty "interesting", the one with the pony tails and beard, I still get the shivers when I think about it. The last one you barrowed from our favorite gender confused poster. You're confusing me man!

Doc 01-07-2011 05:36 PM

Alright. I have to add something here. A few months ago (BEFORE somebody finally clued me into the gender issue thing), I logged on here and saw ibuzzard's avatar was some old guy wearing what looked like a majorette uniform marching in a parade. Now let me tell you, that was VERY confusing to me at the time. I was like WTH?? Now I think about that and can honestly laugh out loud.

Sorry, not trying to mess with your minds.I've got the same user-name,the same gender-identity,but sheesh,I gotta be me! I gotta express my individuality, like all the other countless millions of insecure middle-aged men. Please, let me hang on to that one last shred of dignity!Oops, here she comes, gotta hand it over to the wife.
