Anybody been a "Part/Organ" donor for a truck that wasn't yours?

Hey guys, I sold the cab off my 51 parts truck about a year ago and the guy that bought it sent me a pic of it on his truck...I felt like an organ donor keeping an f1 alive HAHA. It does feel good to see it being used, he is gonna use it as a daily driver too.

Very cool! Its always good when a part you aren't going to use is helpful to someone else.
I have parts of my truck scattered across the states and even down to Australia.

I bought a 53 truck in a basket a few years ago and decided not to build it, I sold the cab to a buddy in our truck club and he did good with it....

I've parted out and sold a lot of parts to others over the last several years. I've sent parts all over the nation, Europe, Austrilia, New Zealand, and not currently working with a person from Brazil.

I've sent a complete 51 COE cab and front clip to New Zealand a few years ago. Six months later I got an email from the buyer showing me the finished product.

A few years ago I gave the Volare IFS that a PO had bolted under my 53 to another member on here.

So far, the 223 six, three speed tranny, front axle, and the wheels from my '55 have gone to other trucks. Sure hope I get mine back together :-X24

As an example of an UNwilling donor, I came out to my shop one morning to find the top end of my 351W gone as well as all the tools that they used to get it all off!! I hope they bend a valve and grenade their motor :-X09

I have given some parts away on FTE so they would help someone with their project and have also recieved some parts to help me progress on my projects, kinda makes me feel good but am about out of parts, hope I don't loose the friends I've made, Garry

Me too Garry. I've given some parts away to FTE members and was happy to do so. FTE folks are the Greatest!:-X22 From helping clean your truck up to giving you a cold drink. Sometimes even a KK donut :-innocent Sometimes being a donor hurts :-X15 But the FTE friendships live on! These guys are the greatest!! They'll even break the legs of the guys who stole the heads off your engine if you find out who done it }>
