just another FX4 owner sayin Hi...

thought I'd join yet another forum....found this one through my local Ford store...I've owned Toyotas(they sucked) 2 Dudges(not misspelled) a few Government Motors crappy trucks and then purchased my first ford...it was a 2001 F150 Supercrew lifted black truck...still miss that one sometimes...I drove it from 26k to 140k sold it on Ebay and purchased a 2002 Lincoln Navigator Intech32valve AWD...put 86k miles on that one and had a towing mishap($2700 in damage). When the bodyshop smell went away picked up my current truck....this one by far is the nicest one yet. Its a 2006 F150 FX4 sopercrew flareside with the 6.5 foot bed, 20 inch wheels, luxury pkg, it has everything but factory navigation...added a cap, ford bedliner, K&N filtered intake, and just picked up a Diablo tuner for it. I bought it with 30 miles on it at the end of 2006 and it currently has 105k miles on it now. I attached some pics of it and have never seen another one like it...future upgrades are a fabtech lift, bushwacker flares and some new bigger beefier shoes

not really enjoying my truck anymore after about $4k in repairs the last few months, seems to started when I sent my last payment in... it developed a tick, its throwing a cat code every other day or so and when I paid it off, seems to be nickel and diming me to death... I've replaced just about everything, timing chain, cam phasers, plugs, coils, electronic front hubs, all 4 rotors to cross drill/slotted was an upgrade that I should've done when I bought the truck new...still have an annoying tick in the engine and the cats are hard to find and f'in expensive as hell!!! anybody have any ideas where to get cheaper CATS???

I have no idea on the cheaper Cats, try the 2004 - 2008 F150 forum: 2004 - 2008 F150 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
A bummer for me too as I just bought a nice and low mileage, under 100,000 miles, 05 Super Crew/5.4 and it has a ticking noise in it too......
