That stuff would definitely be manly..

I wonder why it's still around after that many years

big-ugly 01-01-2011 03:21 PM

We found it in the basement of my dad's greatgrandfather's house when we cleaned it out to doze it in. Greatest find of the century :-drink

Todays shine is better than 100 years ago, plus it doesn't get better with age in a glass jar!

donjamer 01-01-2011 03:22 PM

Wow that would be a great find..

big-ugly 01-01-2011 03:23 PM

This is not in a glass jar, this is in a jug with a cork. And it is WAY stronger than anything produced today, I guarentee you that!

big-ugly 01-01-2011 03:25 PM

I just called up the guy that has the other jug, made in 1934 in Oklahoma, according to the writing on the jug.

Indeed, but they look so much better with the rest of the antiques, especially since they belonged to my dad's greatgrandfather at one point!

I am seriously looking into getting some cooper discoverer stt's or st's, as advised by Micah. I could get the stock size 235/75/15's, but I really like running 31/10.50/15's on my stock suspension trucks. I have read on a few reviews that they are great tires, but they wear fairly quickly. Some people saying that they would be lucky to get 35k miles outta them. I know you can't expect to get 60k miles outta a mud-type tire, but that seems kinda rediculous to me. Anyone have any firsthand experience with either? I am just a little considerned with replacing tires every ~30k miles, especially when they run about $150 apiece, without mounting, balancing, and sales tax.

I had coopers on an earlier F250 I owned and they were good tires..

Never had them long enough to see how long they would wear.. Sold the truck before then..
Their website has them rated high in treadwear.

Cooper Tires - Discoverer STT - On/Off-Road Tires

I currently have the General AT2's and they are a good tire for the money

I only have 14k on them so not sure how long they last..
