1997 7.5L plug wire routing

The truck: 1997 F250HD 4X4 7.5L E4OD, 149k miles.

So, I've been reading about spark plug wire routing as a check for intermittent missing. I have searched high and low and am unable to find the wire routing diagram for the '97 460. Hopefully someone here has one as I am having some symptoms. I don't know if they are related to the wiring but here are some symptoms I have been having:

1. Not all the time but occasionally it will crank for 4-5 seconds before starting, other times it starts immediately. And it does it when it is cold or at temp. Also, and only occasionally, when it starts it sputters for a few seconds and then idles at normal RPM smoothly.

2. Occasionally when stopped at a light or waiting in gear it will sputter like it wants to die but comes back to normal RPM.

Thanks in advance,
J

This 7.5L plug wiring illustration may help you out:

The Idle Air Control is known to clog up with deposits on this vintage truck. Cleaning it may also help your issues as well.

Thanks, but, I'm looking for one like this:

I want to know if there are any wires in particular that need to be kept separated.

My manual shows the firing order for a 7.5L engine is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. I suggest you keep the wires for 4&2 as well as 7&8 as far apart as possible. This will help prevent cross-fire like the routing illustrated in the photo you posted for the 5.0L engine,
