Organizing a truck drive.
 

Well a few buddys of mine and myself were talking about trying to organzie a truck meet/crusie.

We always see/hear about Subaru, honda, and VW meets/drives but never any for trucks.

We are from CT, but ANYONE is welcome to come. Gas, Diesel, Lifted or Lowered.

Its a few months away but I would like to put the word out now to invite who ever you'd like too and just to see if anyone would be interested.

Its planned for March 26 2011 thats the last Saturday of the month.

We are going to meet at the Danbury Fair Mall off of exit 5 at 9AM and try to leave there by 10.

We are going to head up route 7 to Kent Falls, nice scenic drive, its a pretty decent sized parking lot with nice views and a place to hangout/talk/and look at other trucks.

Its free. Just looking to organize something around here for trucks.

I will bump this up to the top probably once a month just to keep the word out to new members and others who might not see it.

If anyones thinking about coming along just post something up here, Thanks.

Might be a great thing to do a little closer to summer, then we could bring our campers or 5th wheels and go camping!

We could always do more than one?

I see you from MD I drove there(ocean city) a few months ago to look at a truck, not to bad of a drive.

Yeah, I have been to your neck of the woods too. Everything on the east coast is close it seems.

Ever been to frontier town out there in MD?

No..kids are older teenagers. I hear it is pretty decent though. Been down to the KOA in VA beach and out to Luray caverns, Woodstock NH and a few others.

Be sure to also post this down in your local state chapter to get more eyes on it.

And join the CT Chapter!

I highly suggest you go post up in the CT Chapter forums. I'm very interested in this and I think some of the other guys would be as well.

Since it's not tech related and it's about a truck drive in CT, I moved it here. It's a great idea folks! I also left a redirect in the SD forum for it.

My truck gets 8.5 MPG. How about we do a VW TDI meet?

If my truck is up and running well by this time, I would certainly be interested. My truck gets 12mpg on a good day, but with the upgrades hopefully I will get...12mpg. HA! Unfortunately the truck is down at the moment with some starter problems again.
