One more mustang tank venting question
In looking at the posts on installing a mustang tank, everyone seems to add a vent. Is the original installation in a Mustang vented through the cap? I am planning to install under the bed in the F-5, and the filler in a small metal box with a flip lid on the bed. This is a working truck, so I don't really want/need anything as pretty as the flush mount fillers, so using a stock Mustang cap, do I need to install the rollover vent?
Thanks again for the great posts. J |

Stock Mustang caps were vented. They were also large and fancy, since they were exposed on the rear body panel of the car. You can get a standard, generic type replacement that's vented and it should work just fine for you.

I got a rollover vent kit from Midfifty and connected it to my filler neck vent hose, then have a sealing gas cap.
