Campershell for 79 F250

Does anyone know if a long bed campershell of a 1987 will fit on my 79s F250 long bed?

Yes, but for looks sake.. not really, the rear of the cab on a dent slopes foreward a fair amount, not so on the 87-91. So at the top of the cab you will have a pretty decent gap there, but the bed widths are more or less the same. Now that i think about it, not 100% sure on the length, but it "should" be as to my knowledge all for long beds are 8feet and short beds 6'6"- 6'8"

The inner beds are the same from 1973 to 1996, but like hairybox said the rear window angle changed.

I have a topper from a 86 truck (so I was told) and the gap is not the same, but not really horrible if that's all you can find. The 73-79 Ford toppers aren't real common.

^^^Off topic...but do you know where or what those dually fenders came from on the dent in the pic? They don't look like anything I've seen. One off fiberglass units? Surely not the Arrowmark fenders.

And to contribute to the thread, yes, the shell will physically fit, but won't have the same factory lines.

I'd like to know too. Best looking fenders I've seen on a dent.

There's some in my garage folder, and I'll be glad to put a few more up. The flares are some custom job (don't know who did them) but it's the one place on the truck where there's a problem with rust...the metal wasn't that good/protected so they are don't doing so well.
