EBPV question
So i disconected the plug for the exhaust valve and now the MIL is on and i want to know how i can run w/o the valve hoked up and no check engine light, i like the mileage when cold.

Which plug did you disconnect? If you disconnected the EBP Sensor (3 wires) that will disable the EBPV but the CEL light will come on. If you disconnected the 2 wire plug just below the turbo that also disables the EBPV, PCM will store a code but the CEL should not come on. If you have a Cali truck the CEL might still come on with the 2 wire connector disconnected .. I don't know.

well for a guess, you are right on the money. It is a California tr5uck and i did disconnect the two wire plug. I am wondering if i can place resistor in the plug so it can trick the computer?

Yeah, somebody on here has a thing about doing that.
No idea who posted it though. |

ok that makes sense for the iat to work the ebpv, i thought i read somewhere that the oil temp sensor also contributed to the valve's operation, good call i will look into that.
