help rebuilding front end

ok guys, just bought an 88 crew dually.
Front end's beat. Need help on rebuilding it. Ball joints shot to hell. Dont know how to pull hubs off, any special tools ? sockets, reverse pliers, picks ?

A couple picks helped me with the very first lock spring that is recessed into the hub itself..... You should spend the $20 and get the socket made for the wheel-bearing lock nuts. And a ball joint press will save your life.

thx for the help

An '88 should have king-pins, not ball joints, or is this 2WD? If it is, you don't need the special Dana 60 socket.

Actually, I don't know much about 2WD, but I don't think they had ball joints either in '88 on the F350.

upper an lower ball joints have to be pressed into the knuckle
