Recommended Oil Viscosity?

Hey everyone, for the past year and a half or so, my ol' truck has been very slowly but very steadily leaking oil (looks like from the valve cover gaskets a little, though mostly from the oil pan gasket). I'm going to change the oil again and put some good fresh stuff in, because the two quarts that I'm sure are left in there are worn out and dirty from being overworked. I'm just wondering if there's any viscosity level that may help reduce the leak a little bit while I wait to get my hands on a free Saturday that I can use to replace at least one of the trouble gaskets.

(And to be honest, I can't remember what I put in last time, that's why I'm gonna change the oil instead of filling it back up :-missingt)

I always use 20w-50 in my 460 with a qt of lucas oil stabilizer.

Shell Rotella T Triple Protection 10w30 is the only thing i put in my truck, but if your leaking maybe trying the 15w40 weight is worth a try.

I have a 302 and have always put in 10w-40. Once I tried the rotella and it worked, but made a little too much noise for what I was used to. Maybe a valve rattling or something.
