Glow shift color change

Hey guys, so I've been doing some searching but not comming up with the answers I need. Ive installed glowshift 7 color changing gauges. I can operate the color selection, and the auto change/fade option. However when I set a desired color it wont stay on that color after I turn the truck off? I assume Ive got a wiring issue somewhere. Anyone had this problem, or can throw some adivse my way? Ive had these installed for about 8 months and the color issue has never bothered me, until NOW! Thanks in advance
Steve

I haven't installed a tach in a while and never tried that one, but here's what I remember.
You should have atleast 4 wires, Ground, Illum, power and signal. Hopefully they went a little above that and did Ground, constant power, switched power and signal. Unless you have a constant power source, it will not remember your settings.

What are your wire descriptions?

Hey, don't mean to jack your thread here, but I have a glowshift tach in my 92. It reads low, anyone else have this problem? Fixes? They sell a signal filter which may help, but I don't know

I havnt been on in a while but heres an update. For one reason or another the gauges couldnt handle the fluctuation in voltage that the truck was putting out. I went to radio shack and bought a $1.60 12v voltage regulator. and BOOM no problems, its been running prime ever since.

huh, thanks a lot. I'll have to try that. I have my pillar apart right now to put in a real oil pressure gauge and I thought that I should try to fix my tach as long as I had access.
