2011 Expedition tow mirror alternatives

Looking for some type of custom fit tow mirror extentions (CIPA) or something.

Don't tow alot so I don't have an interest in spending big money on Factory Tow Mirrors.

But would like to find out wants out there.

Really!!!

I was hoping for more than a mirrors straped on with a bundgy cords.

Is this the best we can come up with?

I guess If I was going for the duct tape solution that might work

You looking at my photos? Not a scrap of bungee cord there. You looking for utility or cosmetics? To be sure I remove these except when actually towing.

Looks like a nice set up to me. Anything other than the factory mirrors mounted to the truck on a full time basis would be ugly as hell. At least these can be stowed away until needed again.

I mount the McKesh mirrors wider than the trailer body. Like cat whiskers, it the mirrors fit, the camper fits. Tended to brush back the tool takers in the before-EZPass days. And at this width I can see what's close behind the camper.

Yeah they're "stylish." They're also starting their 9th season of towing next spring. Worked for my Explorer and now for my Expedition.

The white strap is much more stylish against the white paint! I also twist the lower section of my straps. Since the photo was taken. Stops the buzz from the wind.

I wish there was a way to retro fit the F150 tow mirrors, I love them and with the lift and size of my expi it would make it that much bigger:-drink

I have the Mckesh too. I have had vibraition at high wind speeds, even with the straps twisted 1 turn.
Don't waste your time on the CIPA UNIVERSAL mirrors. They won't hold work with the textured mirror surface of the expy. Not a bad idea with the ratchet strap, but the they always sagged and the adjustment feet are piss-poor.
CIPA made the custom slip ons for my last vehicle and they worked great. I've requested to them for the 07+expys, but no release yet.
