how much is my truck worth
its 1997 f250 ext. cab long bed, red. i just put a 71 mm phat-shaft turbo on (remanned), diesel innovations headers and up pipes, new oil cooler with seals, recently (like with in the last year) new stock injectors, glow plugs, the wiring stuff for the injectors and tranny rebuild, cab lift 3", 4" exhaust turbo back (stack), arp head studs ( the strongest i could get from summit racing), new motor mounts, new optima batteries, i also have a snow plow for it in working condition (western). tell me you think,
|
How do those stock fuel squirters spool that turbo?
How many miles on the truck, how are the tires, any work needed? Body in good shape and rust free? Those will all play a big part in value. |
there is rust on the bed. its on the driver side fender. 194000 miles roughly,
|
the turbo spools up just fine like 1800 rpm. it has 4.10 gears in it so you cant really tell a difference.

Unfortunately your go-fast parts aren't going to raise the sell price by much, if at all. I'd take a stab and say $8-9k.

If I was buying it honestly the most i would give would be 5500 maybe 6000. The plow hurts the value in my opion. I payed 4000 for mine with 198000 and no rust.
|
I'd say you're a lot closer there jeffrey.
|
Yup, if I saw a plow and go fast parts I would think "used a lot". A complete factory (Cobra neck DP and stock intake) I would think "virgin". imo.

Honestly if you are looking to sell you are better off going back to stock and selling the go fast parts and plow separately. |

Figure in the cost of a plow ($2-3K roughly, depending on the plow) and the truck might bring $8-9k with the plow attached. That's what I based my guess on. Truck alone, you'll have a real hard time getting a dime over $5k, $6k if you're really lucky.

well.. i just bought..
about 2 months ago, my 1997 F250 7.3 litre, ext cab. new tires, 159,000 miles, banks turbo, banks 4" exhaust, banks tuner chip, banks transmission command module, 4 wheel drive.. and I paid 6,000.00
so, probably somewhere around that price i would imagine. kevin rea palmdale, calif. |
Keep in mind, different states value these trucks differently. I think Chase will agree with me, Washington State values these trucks more than say Texas. So keep that in mind.
