Exhaust question what is this thing

I have a 94 f150 with a 302
I have three things between the exhaust manifold and the tailpipe
First thing I assume is my cat
The third is the muffler
But the middle thing I'm not sure
It looks similar to a cat
Is it a second cat or a resonator?
I'll put up a picture later if it helps
But I figured someone might know without
A picture

Its a second cat

Second cat, i have one on mine also.

Ok thanks.
That's what I was thinking
While I have your attention
Is there one or two oxygen sensors?
I see one where the two pipes join together in front of the first cat
Is there another?

Just that one O2 sensor is all it has.

guy at autozone said two
i guess he was mistaken

There are 3 on mine, one on each down pipe from the manifolds, and one after the first cat.

oh really?

My dads '92 F-150 has just one oxygen sensor, after the Y, and before the cat......

Trucks equipped with OBDII (1996 and later) diagnostics will have three O2 sensors to help diagnose problems and to verify a functioning cat.
