radiator for a 94 POWERSTROKE
 

anyone got the proper part number for the correct all metal 4 ROW radiator for a 94 powerstroke? I took mine to get rodded out, they said it was trashed so ordered me a new one from ready rad. a 432194. I get it in and it's a 3 row. That's not going to work. I looked it up and the company that made it says it's a 4 row. It's got the right part numbers but I guess they smoked some crack the day it was boxed.

Yeah, I found another leak on mine, I'm going to need one too.

Hey, does your upper rad hose go in by the cap or on the other side? I could have sworn mine was on the left side. This new one isn't. I'm all screwed up now because I put my 97 radiator and degas bottle in it when I took the old one to the shop. I think they completely gave me the wrong stuff now. With the right part number though. Go figure.

mine goes in right in front of the Alternator.

The new style ones are on the side though I believe.
The older style ones like ours are said to be less efficient cause they start from the top.

That's a crock about being less efficient. If you have the original 4 row and it is clean inside then nothing will beat it. I have a brand new big 2 row aluminum piece of crap in mine from the 97 right now and I can not pull my horse trailer with it when I have the camper loaded. With the old one it never cared at all. It never got even close to hot going up mountains. Now I can't even keep it going on a level road without overheating. Copper is a better conductor of heat and the 4 row has almost twice the surface area for heat transfer as the newer ones. Think about it. The newer truck owners just like something to brag about.

Copper is better at pulling heat, but aluminum is better at dispersing heat.

Mines scaled up inside, but still does a good job. Could do better while hauling though. And the leaks dont help, they are pinholes thankfully. i don't loose much too quick.

I just called around and got a huge range of prices. The ready rad brand I just got was 309. It's supposed to be a 4 row but isn't. It is copper and brass though.
A radeon I think plastic and aluminum 4 row is 210 my cost. I love the price but not sure about plastic in this truck. It scares me a little with the nightmare radiator I had in my f150. everytime I went 4 wheeling I had to take it back to Ford for a new one because the tanks sprung leaks. This truck is MUCH rougher off road than that one was.
Then there was another brand whos name I forget 4 row all metal for 380.00. wholesale. he said retail on that one was over 500. I am lost. I need a new one this morning though. I have a 40 foot flat bed waiting for me to hook up and load about 10 tons of firewood on. At least 10 tons. I've had 20 on it before.

I don't like plastic tanks.
Copper and brass for the win, but I'd go for a 4 row again.

I have had both setups and if the system has no problems and or leaks, both cool very well.

I had mine replace by a shop the radiator was 360 (oem) and with fluids work came out to close to 500 .just don't forget to add the antifreeze treatment from ford for lubrication I forgot what is called.
