2001 Expedititon RSS issues

as stated the Reverse Sensor System is not working. The switch that controls this is always lit up stating it is off. If I push the switch the light goes off for a split second as it works up and down i.e. turning on and off. Any ideas as to what may cause this? On a different note about the same time the rear sub woofer stopped working and now I think the amp is fried...

So still had no feedback from anyone here. Any idea what could be causing the RSS from not working? Once again light is working stating off and switch works and when depressed the light will go off for a split second before saying it is disabled. No beeping sound in reverse. Clues??

The RSS light comes on when the system is disabled. If you haven't turned the switch off, it is telling you that the system has detected a fault in one of the four sensors in the rear bumper or within the PAM (Parking Aid Module).

Check that the 5A fuse #6 in the CJB is good.

Since the PAM is on the ISO network, a scan tool that can read Ford Body codes and Ford Chassis codes connected to the DLC should reveal the source of the problem.

Thanks for the reply PDQFORD. I checked the fuses and that is not it. I guess a trip to Ford to fix it..
