Pressure Washers
I'm looking to buy a gas powered pressure washer and would like to hear from pressure washer owners on what is good and what to stay away from. Thanks!

Stay away from any light duty vertical drive pressure washers. They are junk and just one step up from electric. What will you be using it for? The 3 units I have I built and work great I bought all the engines from harbor freight and bought 3 pumps off ebay like this http://cgi.ebay.com/PRESSURE-WASHER-...#ht_1787wt_657 I used to like the CAT brand pumps but they are not very good anymore and have been wowed on the ANNOVI REVERBERI pumps great service life easy oil changes and parts are easy to get.

I will be using it for general purpose and degreasing my backhoe.

Rental stores sometimes sell their equipment, that stuff is typically 10x better than what you'll find at the big box stores.

I was able to get a deal on one that somebody had ran the pump dry on. It still developed pressure but you could tell it wasn't right. It's a CAT pump, the seal kit was SHOCKINGKY expensive for it just being a small handful of o rings and washers, but it was simple to rebuild and works really good now. Apparently you can burn up the seals from just starting it without water hooked to the pump, so be forewarned.

I have a Excell (Devilbiss) 2600 psi one and really like it. It came with different tips for different angles. I have used to clean many different things and never had a problem with it.

Why buy new??????
pawn shops......many commercial units are stolen off work sites and end-up at the pawn shops.....
