Is it really being called the "Boss"?
 

Or is this forum misnamed?

doesnt it say 6.2 boss right on the valve cover ?

Says "Powered By Ford" on mine. I'm going with "Boss" though, sounds better. How was that started anyway? Design similarities with the original Boss motor is what I heard.

I had seen this designation in some other articles - It must be from Ford somewhere...

this section also states "6.2L Boss Discuss the upcoming 6.2L V8"...
its not upcoming anymore its already out :p
