MPG Pill?
I was just watching the news, and there is a pill out that raises your gas mileage. They drove from Huntington West Virginia to Charleston, and it actually worked. They reported that when they drove to charleston the first time, it took 5.2 gallons of gas to fill it back up, but when they used the pill, it only needed 4 gallons of gas to fill the tank up. It's 100 Miles there and back, and without the pill they got 19.23MPG, with the pill they got 25. That's a big difference! I was just wondering if anyone has seen these pills, and if so, where can you get them?

lol, a bridge? i'm probably gonna try it out, i'll let ya know how it is.
|
It could just be me not knowing WV that well, but looking at my wall map, I would tend to think Charleston is literally an uphill drive from Huntington probably with some driving out of O/D with a few hundred extra RPMS....right through the Allegheny Mountains, which might help with MPG on the return trip to Huntington.
Gravity/Physics > Us. :-X15 Hey, call me a skeptic, but we can pick through the ingredients of this pill if you want to. If you provide 'em. |
they drove there and back, twice
|
Them fellers need em a calculator.
|
lol, i don't know, but that's what it said on the news. Heck, you can't believe them half the time anyways!
|
Show me the proof on paper signed by a neutral third party that is willing to testify it works. I'm quite skeptical of these sorts of things. personally, only thing goin in my tank is 87 octane, NOTHING else.

Utter garbage made to empty the wallets of the gullible.

I do not see how anyone can believe a little pill diluted in twenty gallons of gas could do anything. I wonder how fast it dissolves, might potentially block a fuel line.
|
i thought it was like an octane booster or something, i was just wondering what you guys thought, its something new, never heard of it, but i was wanting to see if anyone else had tried it since i tried it on the ol' 4.9L!
|
My buddy used an octane booster once, I believe it was some NOS stuff, added to the tank right before he filled up, seemed to add a little juice and helped the MPG by maybe 1 or 2, but it didnt seem to bad. Cant recall the price of it though, either $5 or $10...

I have some in my hands that were given to me to try. I figure what the hell, I have nothing to lose.
HOWEVER they smell just like moth balls. They look like big green vitians and smell like moth balls. |
P T Barnum was right, there is one born every minute.
That wasn't the news, it was an infomercial. As for the mothball pills, DON'T use them in your fuel tank. Steve |
I really got a kick out of an infomercial on a new oil additive. They froze an engine in solid ice and, by god it started first time with this additive. Everyone was amazed.

moth balls

Very old power booster, moth balls don't think they last very long. Next someone
will be putting their nitro heart pills in the tank like was done in the movie "the worlds fstest Indian". I do hope someone comes up with the answer to our need to extend mileage for the good of us all, however the ripoff guys should stay out of it. |
You can also take those same pills before you go out drinking and you won't get a hangover the next day! :-X14
|
lol, I don't really know if it was a hoax or not, but if the NEWS does it, IT HAS TO BE TRUE!!
|
I am in a hurry and did not read all of the above posts so this may be a repeat. If so, I'll offer my oops now. If not, this may be of interest to some.

Magic Pills
I thought the suspension in my F250 seemed a little soft so I popped a couple Viagra in the tank and it stiffened right up.
P.S. For stiffer suspension lasting more than 4 hours consult your mechanic. |
The Texas Attorney General announced today that he was fining the company for deceptive trade practices and was putting them out of business.
|
MPG pills? I've got some ocean front property for sale right here in Arkansas too. $5 million an acre!
|
lol, it wasn't a lie, i was just trying to see if anyone else saw this on the news. I wasn't planning on doing it to my trucks, lol, i was wanting someone to be a tester for me.
|
There was some guy raving about acetone on some web page. Supposedly, he got some significant increase in mpg. That wasn't an MLM scheme, and because of the small amount needed, its also dirt cheap. I could not replicate his results, however.

"The company Web site says "area managers," who buy in with 13 bottles for $499, can earn up to $730,000 a year. It also boasts that 1,000 new customers are signing up every two days. The company claims about 4,500 members in Texas."
If this is true, I feel bad for my home state...bad enough to move! :D PT Barnum comes to mind. http://lowellmims.com/images/items/mims5.jpg Wow, big hair on the misses.... |
I saw the pill in the news, as a matter of fact one of the Philly TV stations tried
them. Did nothing, they also told the price. Even if it did something you were deeper in your pockets per mile than without. Ah what fools we humans be! |
|
Here in Oklahoma, the goverment is suing a company that is selling these "green pills" for lieing to the public, they were taking advantage of people during hight fuel cost. they say alot of "ideas" are starting to pop up since the fuel cost went up.
|
I spent $3 on an extra gallon of gas and it increased my range by 10 miles!! I will be testing what 2 gallons does to my range next week.
