OK I am going to change the map link from the this one to

For some reason the link above should of update every time a new pin was added to
the map but Google is not doing what it should. That is why I changed the link to the
live map.

So please use the new link below.

I see the map, how do I add a pin?

could someone be kind enough to give some instructions on how to place a pin on the map? :-huh

The way to add a pin is send me a PM with you google linked Email address.
I will send you a link that will take you to the original map that you can place a pin on.

This map is a updated copy of the other one. I was unable to get
the one I was using to allow me to let other people to view without being
signed in to there google account.

Just a bump.
Wanting to know if everyone is able to access the map.
Also anyone that is not signed up all you have to do is
send me a PM with an Email address that you have associated
with any Google service.

I will then send you an invite link and you can place a pin
near you location.

Does my pin (G) show up for you guys?

I see it on iPhone and on a Mac and yet when I view the map on a PC I only see 6 Pins.

Stoooopid question: so are these dynamic? As in do they use my smart phone's GPS reporting to track my location and pin it to the map in (close to) real time??

Can you imagine if we get Anthony's hot????? :-X04 (visual of pins moving all over the place...!)

Very odd. That link should update any time someone adds a new pin.

Try this one. You will have to be logged in to google but I would like to
see what happens when someone is not logged in.

If the map was doing a GPS track long and Anthony was on it. We would have an Etch-a-Sketch
work of art depending on how he planed his route.

I had to click sign in twice before I could add a pin.

I'm mainly signed into to google in some way or another. Found the sign in on the map and wa-la! I've been pinned!

I made it harder than it was. Me and google aren't playing well together lately. Maybe because they are taking away the home page feature, I'm rebelling!

All alone in the northeast. *sigh* lol

Ive been trying to but it seems my computer and gmaps dont like eachother?
used firefox, explorer and chrome and it still wont let me do anything when I click "sign in" in the upper right hand corner.

Maybe in a day or two, yesterday the map did not want to even show up today it does.

Try clearing your cookies. I use Chrome and had an issue as well.

what does this do for us? does it help if i sign up?

Well we had talked about a BIG group get together. Some of the places that were
thought of were Yellowstone North Dakota and South Dakota. I forget some of the
others but this helps give a graphical idea where most people are located and what
place would be the closest to the center of our population.

Maybe there are too many pins now? It shows the map as 'VIEW ONLY' and won't give me any map tools to use. I can create a new map and I can add pins, but this map doesn't allow me to. I am signed into google and I have tried chrome and firefox and IE browsers. No go.

And that the Email address you sent me is the one that is logged onto Google.

lol, well that explains it. I thought you only needed the email IF we needed help. So it's a 'permissions' problem. You didn't make it a 'public' map, instead it's private? Is there any reason why you wouldn't make it public?

Keeping it private keeps the map clean and keeps the riff raff out.

Sean. Got on the map but couldn't change the label on the point for some reason? If you could change "POINT 24" to Rusty Axlerod (nice pink Q lol) it would be right. Thanks!

It took me a couple tries to get my Pin (G) to change to Bullitt390

I changed it for you.

I'm on iPad and tried Safari and Chrome. I can highlight it at the pin of from the legend but the keypad doesn't come up on the screen so I can change the text. My only options are copy or define. :( Got some brain farts too, lots of hours at work this week. I'm probably missing something easy.

Bill is the one that fixed it. I was out and tried to look at the map on
my iPhone. With all of the controls you can's see much of the map
on it unless you zoom way out or way in on just one pin.

The map is starting to get some color to it.
